This book was sent to me by Little, Brown and Company in exchange for an honest review.
I must admit that it took me quite some time to read it, since I had a lot of exams and things to do for University and besides all I was in a huge reading slump for a month or so.
This book was published by Little, Brown and Company in February this year and it has 289 pages.
Story is set around Russell Gaines who has just finished serving his sentence for the crime he committed eleven years ago. He believes his debt has been payed off, but is it really? No matter how hard he tries to start a new chapter in his life there are still people who can not let go of what he did.
As if this is not enough he meets a troubled woman wondering around by foot with her small daughter.
At the end he has a decision to make, will he save himself or selflessly decide to save them?
This book was a delighted read. At the beginning it took me a few more pages than usual to really get into the story but overall the story was enjoyable and at times very suspenseful.
I would definitely recommend it. You can get your own copy here*.
