Hello again! Today I would like to share with you my thoughts on book: ON WOMEN by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother
Book is about the difference between female and male sex. It explanes why it is now the way that it is based on the history.
My favourite book quote:
»Yes, slaves; for so long as one has desires, preferences and attachements, one is a slave on these things and of the people on whom one is dependent for their satisfaction.«
THE MOTHER: her name was Mirra Alfassa. She was born in Paris on 21st February 1878. Her soul left her body on 17th November 1973.
She was an accomplished artist, excellent pianist and a writer. She was also interested in spiritual development. She is also founder of spiritual seekers group. The Mother voyaged to Pondicherry where she met Sri Aurobindo. He helped her to develop on a spiritual level.
SRI AUROBINDO: he was born in Calcutta on 15th August 1872. He was a political leader in India. He started practicing Yoga in 1905. In 1908 he had his first spiritual realisation. He evolved a new spiritual practice called Integral Yoga.
It has been an interesting experience reading this book.
